The second joint BNIF/BNES one day conference

Energy Choices 2002

Thursday 5 December 2002
Church House, Dean’s Yard, Westminster, London SW1

"Talks on such significant aspects as this need to be heard more often"
WS Atkins delegate, Energy Choices 2001

These are vital times for nuclear power in the West. The Finnish Parliament has agreed in principle to build a new nuclear reactor, the US government is giving active support for nuclear power and things are looking positive for the Yucca mountain waste storage site.

In the UK the PIU report to government recommends the maintenance of the nuclear option, and the chief scientific adviser sees nuclear as essential to avoid carbon dioxide stalemate.

Energy Choices is an open discussion forum that brings together politicians, civil servants and key opinion formers with people from across the energy sector. Held in the heart of Westminster, Energy Choices is a must for those concerned with the business and politics of our national energy scene - the stakeholders of our environmental future.

"For someone new to the sector this provided an excellent, in depth briefing"
DTI delegate, Energy Choices 2001

"A conference which integrates strategic, business and social aspects of nuclear energy shows that we are slowly arriving in the real world!”
BNFL Magnox delegate, Energy Choices 2001
