Run by the Nuclear Industry Association, Energy Choices has built-up a formidable reputation over the past decade as the essential platform for discussion of key national and international energy matters. This year’s conference will examine the global nuclear renaissance in context with the pressing concerns of world energy and climate change. Governments all around the world are anxiously eyeing energy policy and its impact on world affairs. Never before have we been confronted with such stark warnings on climate change, or the consequences of failure to secure adequate, environmentally-friendly energy supplies. And it is a global marketplace…it is a global discussion… Energy Choices 08 will focus on the geo-politics of energy – and look at the pathway to delivering new nuclear power in the UK. We are delighted to welcome senior politicians to discuss the UK’s position. The world is watching how the UK approaches the issue of large-scale decommissioning and waste storage, coupled with a major new build programme. What happens in the UK has major repercussions around the world. Can the UK take a leading role in a worldwide nuclear renaissance? Will British companies lead the way in providing key start-up advice and expertise for countries considering a civil nuclear programme? Energy Choices 08 will pose the questions. Leading political and industrial figures will attempt to provide the answers. Join us for the UK’s energy conference of the year – Energy Choices 08. Extra Special Guest Speaker to be announced!!
