Energy Choices ’09 – The Nuclear Horizon

Energy Choices is regarded as one of the key energy conferences of the year – where industry, politicians and opinion-formers come together to debate world energy issues.

The conference is attended by leading energy industry players including CEO’s and strategists from all the major utilities. It is also an important date in the diary for academics and politicians wanting to make their contribution to the energy debate.

Whether the issue is climate change, skills gap, innovation or our continued security of energy supply, Energy Choices is now recognised as the main platform for discussion and new ideas.

Previous special guest speakers at Energy Choices have included Prof. Brian Cox (CERN), James Lovelock (author of Gaia and perhaps the world’s best-known scientist), Patrick Moore (Canadian founder of Greenpeace), and Jim Al – Khallili (BBC’s ATOM series).

Energy Choices organised by the nuclear industry and endorsed by the Nuclear industries own learned society, the Nuclear Institute is an all-energy event with representatives from the renewables, oil and gas industries who are also represented on the panels and in the audience.

Major UK universities and research institutes also take part – as do NGO’s including Greenpeace, The Green Party and Friends of the Earth. The UK media also attend  -  energy has now become a “top-three” issue with news editors and every year at Energy Choices the latest IPSOS-Mori polling on public attitudes to energy are unveiled – along with the public’s concerns about climate change and energy supply. Can you afford to miss the top energy conference of the year?
